Kosice Institute for Society and Health (KISH) is a research institute integrating different research fields from the perspective of vulnerable groups in society. On a more operational level KISH focuses on two fields, Youth & Health and Chronic Diseases. Methods from several fields such as medical sociology, health psychology, epidemiology and public health are used to study the main research topics. For both fields research questions and used constructs and questionnaires are at least similar or sometimes identical. The role of socio-economic status, the role of risky behaviour and the role of personality are examples of questions / constructs which are used in both fields, Youth & Health and Chronic Diseases. Research findings are used for developing and implementation of Theory Based Interventions creating the third field which KISH focuses on.
